As there is evil in all.
Say others never renounce penance,
Sacrifice and charity at all.

About sacrifice from me.
O’ Tiger amongst men,
Sacrifice is threefold as per me.

Chapter 18.5

Acts of sacrifice, charity and penance,
Are important and must be done.
As sacrifice charity and penance,
Purify wise men.

Chapter 18.6

Without any expectation.
Parth, these should be done,
As part of duty, is my firm opinion.

Chapter 18.11

Parantap, the duties of Brahmins,
Or those of warriors and traders,
Or the labourers,
Are divided as per their natural attitudes.

The Lord here tells Arjun the categories of people as per their patterns of behavior and not by birth. Thus a born Brahmin can wield a weapon and lead people. He acts like Kshatriya and should be termed as one. Ultimately one behaves as per his natural instincts. A trained Doctor or Engineer may become a trader and should be called one. A person born in family of Vaishya (Trader) or Shoodr (labourer) may prefer to work in different category and should be termed as one.

Without ego, anger, lust and pride,
Possessing nothing and keeping mind at peace,
Such one surely attains,
The supreme bliss and everlasting peace.

Chapter 18.54

Remaining cheerful,
He craves or grieves for nothing,
Identifying and stabilizing,
Himself with the Supreme,
Remaining equal to all, he dedicates
Himself to my devotion Supreme.

Chapter 18.55

With that devotion supreme,
In reality he knows me.
Thus knowing me fully,
He merges in me truly.

Chapter 18.56

While doing actions many,
Who depends on me totally,
By my grace he reaches eternal
And imperishable state certainly.

Dedicate all actions to me,
Remain even minded
And devoted to me,
And constantly fix your mind in me.

With your mind such fixed and devoted,
You shall overcome difficulties all.
But by having self-ego and being conceited,
You will get destroyed by means all.

Chapter 18.59

If standing on resolve of not to fight,
Vain will be that resolve,
As your own nature will force you to fight.

Chapter 18.60

You are tied by your nature,
O’ son of Kuntee,
The duty you are shunning from,
Your nature will force you to perform.

Chapter 18.61

Arjun, God resides in hearts of all,
Causing them to revolve
According to his illusive power divine,
As if moved by a machine.

Chapter 18.62

So take refuge in him wholeheartedly,
By his grace you will attain peace eternally.

Be my devotee, meditate always on me,
Worship me, bow to me,
Doing so you will come to me,
This I truly promise as you are really dear to me.

Chapter 18.66

Leave aside everything else,
Surrender to me all out,
I shall absolve you of all sins,
Worry you not.

In my opinion this verse combined with verse ”22” of chapter “9” is the ultimate essence of Geeta.

Chapter 18.67

The one, who tells this secret,
To people devout,
That will be devotion at its best,
And he shall come to me no doubt.

Chapter 18.69

On this earth as he will be dearest to me.

I declare to you this, that whoever,
Studies this dialogue, of yours and mine,
Consider that he worships me,
With knowledge divine.

Chapter 18.71

Without any malice and with reverence,
Gets freedom from sins,
And reaches the divine world of virtuous.

With full concentration?,
O’ Dhananjay, are you free from
Ignorance born out of delusion?

Chapter 18.73

ARJUN SAID
O’ Krishna, O’ Achyut,
My delusion is removed,
With your grace I have gained wisdom,
I am now doubtless and firm,

Chapter 18.74

Thus I heard the conversation,
Between those two greats,
Vaasudev and Parth,
So thrilling and mysterious,
That even now my body has goose bumps.

Chapter 18.75

In person I heard the talk secret,
Between Yogeshwar Krishn,
And Arjun the great.

Chapter 18.76

The mysterious and secret conversation,
Between Keshav and Arjun,
O’ king I get thrilled again and again.

Chapter 18.77

Remembering time and again,
That wondrous form of Hari,
O’ King, wonderstruck I remain,
And feel the thrill yet again.

Chapter 18.78

Wherever there are lord of Yog Krishn,
And the great Archer Arjun,
